Synthetic Rubbers
SIBUR is one of few companies in the world with synthetic rubber production comprising the entire manufacturing process chain for this product type including separation of individual hydrocarbons, and manufacture of monomers and polymers. Share of SIBUR's products in Russia is 16% of isoprene rubber. 29% of butyl rubber, 35% of butadiene rubber, 50% of emulsion styrene-butadiene rubber, 100% of solution styrene-butadiene rubber, 82% of nitrile butadiene rubber, and 100% of thermoplastic elastomers. SIBUR is in the top ten of the world leaders by total capacities in the rubber segment (600 thou tons).
SIBUR's strategy in the rubber business is aimed at optimization of the product portfolio and assets, expansion of presence in the bonus segment of the market, and occupation of the leading positions in the domestic market. Furthermore, the key goal within the customer-oriented policy is achievement of the global level of technical service.
