Mineral Fertilizers

In 2006 the SIBUR Group created SIBUR-Fertilizers JSC to manage its mineral fertilizer business. Its nitrogen productive assets include “Azot” (Kemerovo), Angarsk Azotno-Tukovy Zavod (Irkutsk region), and “Minudobrenia” (Perm)*. Andrey Teterkin is SIBUR-Fertilizers’ chief executive.

SIBUR-Fertilizers make up about 16 per cent of the total nitrogen fertilizer production in Russia. The Company comes third by straight nitrogen capacity, second by urea production and exports, and first by nitrogen products sales to industrial customers in Russia.

Products from the Mineral Fertilizer business are used by manufacturers of plastics, dyes, chemical fibers and pharmaceuticals.

Our Future Focus

The development strategy for Mineral Fertilizer is focused on selective upgrading and expansion and the introduction of new higher value products.
