Trades Union Organizations

The inter-regional trades union organization (ITUO) of the SIBUR group brings together 33 primary organizations of the Oil and Gas Construction Trade Union of Russia, comprising several tens of thousands of employees in group enterprises.

The ITUO’s primary objective is to uphold the socio-economic and labour interests of the Company’s employees.

The ITUO has developed a system of measures and methods to achieve its aims, and these are now being put into practice. Together with the primary trades union organizations, the ITUO operates within the framework of a Group Agreement and collective agreements at the enterprise level with a focus on health and safety issues, legal assistance and workplace dispute resolution. It also operates summer vacation and health programmes and runs corporate celebrations, competitions and sports events.

The ITUO plays an active role in resolving issues connected with shortcomings in Russian pensions legislation, including helping SIBUR employees to defend their constitutional pensions rights in court. The ITUO also provides training for trade union staff and activists.
