Sponsorship and Charity

The SIBUR group operates charitable and sponsorship programmes, donating substantial funds to socially important events in the interests of various sectors of society in all the regions where it operates. These programmes are targeted on science, culture, education, healthcare, environmental protection, sport, support for socially vulnerable sectors of society and other areas not directly connected with the Company’s operations.

SIBUR provides charitable support and sponsorship through funding and organizational assistance for specific projects, charity programmes, and grants to support socially vulnerable groups, science, culture, education, healthcare, sports and other areas of community life.

Education

Care for children, their upbringing and education is one of SIBUR’s community priorities. The Company provides assistance to Moscow orphanage No.32, secondary schools Nos.1 and 7, municipal pre-school establishment No.29 (“Alenushka”) in the town of Chaykovsky, kindergarten No.10 (“Babochka”) in Novokybyshevsk, the municipal information and library system in Volzhsky, Dzerzhinsk specialized orphanage No.1, vocational lyceum No.46 in Tolyatti, the Zhigulevsk boarding school, the «Harmony» social rehabilitation centre for minors in Tolyatti, lyceum No.19 in Tolyatti and others.

Sport

Sport forms a central plank of the Company’s sponsorship programme. The SIBUR group sponsors the «Zenit» football club, the «Spartak» basketball club and the independent nonprofit organization «Sporting Renaissance of Russia». Company enterprises also provide funding to regional sports organizations, including the Novokuybyshev Boxing Federation, the «Olimp» basketball club in Novokuybyshevsk, the grass hockey world championship in Kemerovo, sporting excellence school No.3 in Tolyatti, and others.

Healthcare

SIBUR enterprises and Head office donate funds for renovation work and equipment at healthcare facilities. The «Royka» children’s TB clinic in Nizhny Novgorod, the Nizhny Novgorod regional children’s clinical hospital, the Kstov central district hospital, Nizhny Novgorod city children’s hospital No.8, the “Semashko” regional hospital in Nizhny Novgorod, the Dzerzhinsk war veterans’ hospital and city hospital No.4 in Nizhny Novgorod are just a few of the establishments that have benefited from the group’s support.

Culture

SIBUR and its subsidiaries contribute to the development of Russia’s best artistic traditions by providing charitable support to, amongst other organizations, the Culture and Arts Directorate in Chaykovsky, the Petrochemical Workers’ Cultural Centre in Kstovo, Children’s Arts School No.8 in Nizhny Novgorod, the Tolyatti Philharmonia, the Grammar School Federation in Samara, and the School of Visual Arts in Dzerzhinsk and Zhigulevsk.
