The SIBUR Group believes that social responsibility is the cornerstone of building a successful and sustainable business. Through employee, community and regional initiatives, we promote innovation to improve the quality of life of the general public and minimize our impact on the natural environment.

SIBUR Group also works closely with local authorities to promote economic development in the regions where our businesses operate, entering into social partnership agreements in some regions to help address specific local issues. We create jobs, pay competitive salaries and provide safe and healthy working and living conditions.

In the communities where we operate we invest heavily in:

• Promoting sports events and healthy living

• Staff education and training

• Cultural programmes

We are constantly looking to reduce our environmental footprint and are in process to achieve the international ISO 14001:2004 standard. We have employed the very latest technology replacing the use of harmful chemicals and a round the clock monitoring system to make sure any potential safety issues are dealt with promptly and effectively.

A large proportion of the business uses APG bi-products from petrol companies as raw material, helping them to reduce the carbon emissions from burning it into the atmosphere.

Mitigating human impact on the natural environment is one of our long term objectives. We are proud of our social responsibility initiatives to date and look forward to continuing to build on our strong track record in this area.
