Green granules: SIBUR to produce PET partially from recycled feedstock
SIBUR's POLIEF site in Blagoveshchensk, Republic of Bashkortostan, launches the production of green PET granules, which, among other materials, will rely on some 34 kt of recycled plastics annually. PET flakes derived from used food packaging will serve as an input for primary polymers.

ZapSibNeftekhim's polypropylene unit produces first granules
The polypropylene unit at ZapSibNeftekhim, a deep hydrocarbon conversion plant under construction, is 99.8% complete. Construction and installation works on the process unit are over, and commissioning is underway. In particular, systems are undergoing functional testing and safety systems are being checked for proper performance.

Demineralised water unit at ZapSibNeftekhim ready for commissioning
ZapSibNeftekhim has prepared its demineralised water unit for commissioning. It is a two-stage reverse osmosis and electric deionisation plant with a total capacity of 244 cu m per hour.
SIBUR’s Voronezh site to ramp up production of thermoplastic elastomers used in road construction, roof coating production and other industries
SIBUR’s Voronezh site will boost the output of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) used in road construction, roof coating production and other industries by 50 ktpa. The project has been approved by Russia’s General Board of State Expert Review (Glavgosexpertiza) and the Company’s Investment Committee.
