Belozerny GPP restores production unit

Belozerny Gas Processing Complex today held a launching ceremony of the UPG-1 production unit restored after an accident in May 2007.

Start-up works are currently in progress and soon the unit will reach its original annual design capacity of more than 2 billion cubic meters of associated gas. 

Production line’s restoration costs totaled more than 900 million rubles.

Belozerny Gas Processing Complex is part of the Yugragazpererabotka joint venture of the SIBUR holding and TNK-BP. The design capacity of the complex was more than 4 billion cubic meters of associated gas per annum. Nizhnevartovsky Gas Processing Complex, which is also part of the venture, has the design capacity also exceeding 4 billion cubic meters.

A number of projects designed to boost the venture's capacity to more than 11 billion cubic meters of associated gas a year by 2011 are currently on various stages of implementation.
