SIBUR has outsourced IT Services

To implement its cost-reduction plans, SIBUR has accomplished the first phase of the project for outsourcing of IT and automation functions. The service units have been transferred to the specialized service company – Information Technology Service Company LLC (ITSC), founded on the parity basis by SIBUR Holding JSC and Gazprom Neft JSC. The total number of transferred employees exceeds 1,200 persons, and another 1,200 persons are to be transferred in 2009. 

As Dmitry Gorbachev, SIBUR IT Director, said "the main objective of this measure is to enhance efficiency and to reduce costs". Just by results of 2009, the expected economic effect of optimization would comprise 10% of the company's total spending for IT-services.
