Oleg Makarov named as new SIBUR Vice-President for Planning, Logistics and Sales Support

Moscow, December 21, 2010. The newly appointed Vice-President of Planning, Logistics and Sales Support at SIBUR is Oleg Makarov, who previously served as the Director of Operations of the Synthetic Rubbers Business Unit.

This position was previously held by the position of Vice-President of Operations Petr Degtyarev, who, in May 2010, was appointed as Director of the Department of Oil and Gas Refining at the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.

Later on, the decision was taken to reallocate the functions among the existing vice-presidents of SIBUR. The Vice-President of Operations was renamed as Vice-President for Planning, Logistics and Sales Support.

Oleg Makarov will oversee the work of the operations planning department, the logistics department, the administration for ensuring shipment documentation and developing sales systems, as well as the design office «Supply Chain Management».

The Department of Industrial Safety and Environment, which was formerly subordinated to the Vice-President of Operations, has also been assumed by the Senior Executive Vice-President of SIBUR.

Biographical note:

Oleg Ivanovich Makarov was born on February 23, 1969 in the town of Degtyarskoye, Sverdlovsk Region.

In 1986, he enrolled at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO), where he majored in «international economic relations», with the qualification of «economist in international economic relations and foreign languages». In October 2005, received his MBA (Master of Business Administration) from London Metropolitan University.

In 2002, Oleg Makarov worked as Deputy Head of Marketing and Strategic Development at the «Gosinkor Holding» financial investment association. In 2003, he became Director of Marketing and Strategic Development at the CJSC «Guta Strakhovanie» (Guta Insurance).

Since February 2004, Oleg has been working at Sibur, where he has successively held the positions of Director of Marketing, Head of Marketing and Sales Monitoring, and Director of Operations for the Synthetic Rubbers Business Unit.

Since December 2010, he has served in the capacity of SIBUR’s Vice-President for Planning, Logistics and Sales Support.
