The annual report places special emphasis on the regions where the Company operates, its production sites, and continuity – for the first time, the Company’s history is presented, and a topical report on labour dynasties has been prepared.
Environmental performance, biodiversity, climate, and circular economy
Environmental responsibility is integrated into all aspects of the Company’s activities. SIBUR is consistently developing sustainable production, implementing the best available techniques, and paying special attention to the preservation of ecosystems. Regarding climate, the Company is implementing comprehensive projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. A key focus is the development of the circular economy, within which SIBUR makes products that incorporate recycled feedstock.
Thanks to mobile environmental laboratories and an automated online air-quality monitoring system, SIBUR carries out up to 26,000 studies per year. More than 780,000 fish species have been voluntarily released by the Company into water bodies. The SIBUR “Eco-Trails” project celebrated its 10th anniversary, and three new eco-trails were created. SIBUR’s facilities held more than 100 events in 2025 to preserve biodiversity, support scientific research and green urban areas, and promote environmental education.
