SIBUR took part in Tomsk Innovation Forum

Dmitry Konov, the President of SIBUR LLC, and Sergey Merzlyakov, the Vice-President of the Company, took part in the XII Innovation Forum with the international participation. When opening the plenary discussion "Innovations in the conditions of the crisis", Viktor Kress, the Governor of Tomsk Oblast, told about the achievements of the region in development of a special economic zone in Tomsk. The Governor gave a special emphasis to participation of SIBUR-TOMSKNEFTEKHIM Research Organization, NIOST LLC, in that work and mentioned that the Company's Scientific Centre was a unique enterprise in the economic zone that implemented projects entirely at its own expense.

"Technology introduction zones are an effective tool of support of innovations by the Government", Elvira Nabiullina, the RF Minister of Economic Development told, "and it would be essential to us if private industries take an active part in development of innovations."

Within the framework of the Forum. senior executives of Tomsk Oblast and Federal Ministries made an information visit to NIOST LLC. While demonstrating pilot plants and laboratories of the Scientific Centre, Dmitry Konov noted, "By establishing the Scientific Centre in Tomsk and installing the required state-of-the-art equipment, we transferred to this Centre all the work which we had previously ordered to third parties. Furthermore, the activities of scientific units of the enterprises of the Holding were centralized."
